Monster Squad at Alamo
In a fantastic fashion, Tremendicon and The Midnight Lantern Foundation are teaming up with Alamo Drafthouse for a fundraiser of Monstrous proportions! On September 14th at 6:00 pm in Springfield, MO, there will be a special showing of The Monster Squad with a portion of the proceeds going to Tremendicon and Midnight Lantern. Tickets are limited, and if we sell out Cullen said he would do the Monster Squad Rap, so let’s make it happen!

Holiday Extravaganza!
Mark your calendars if you live near Springfield MO. On Friday, November 13, we are hosting a huge celebration and fundraising event.
Here are some initial details, but we are adding more and more excitement with every passing day:
Join us for a Friday the 13th celebration benefiting The Midnight Lantern Foundation, a Springfield-based nonprofit dedicated to bringing horror, fantasy, and sci-fi books, comics, games, toys, and imagination to children and families in need. The evening will feature music, raffles, silent auctions, donation opportunities, and fun, with all proceeds supporting the Foundation’s charitable programs. We will be hosting a toy drive, accepting new, unwrapped toys and games for our holiday efforts.
The all-ages event will be held at the Where House Bar (2463 W. Sunshine St. #120, Springfield, MO, 65807) from 7 - 11.
Distant Planet Comics Signing
On Saturday, August 15th, Cullen will be signing at Distant Planet Comics and Collectibles in Columbia, Missouri from 12 - 4! This is all part of an amazing event the store is hosting to benefit The Midnight Lantern Foundation! From August 8th to August 21, Distant Planet will be having a sale to benefit the foundation. They’ll have 50 cent back issues! Two dollar collected editions! And many other items and surprises! Bring your books for Cullen to sign! Buy some cheap comics! Shop around a cool-as-Hell store! A couple of the other Midnight Lanterns will be there as well, and we can’t wait to see folks there!
Heroes for Kids Comic Con
From their website: Heroes for Kids Comic Con is a charitable event focusing on comic book culture and raising funds for local and regional organizations in need.
Needless to say, this is right in line with what the Lanterns are all about. Cullen is going to be a special guest and we will try to get as many folks over to Perryville as we can!
Route 66 Comic and Toy Convention
Josh and Cullen are going to be at another convention in NC, but don’t worry, we keep a list of all of the Conan books we are supposed to keep an eye out for. Heather, Greg, and Tim will be at the booth ready to talk to all of you about the Midnight Lanterns while we try to break away to dig for treasures.
Heroes Con
One of Cullen’s east coast stomping grounds! This weekend is going to be full of Diet Cheer Wine and Bojangles if we are lucky.
Indiana Comic Con
This looks to be a very fun time out in Indiana, with some guests that you don’t get to see as frequently!
Tremendicon
Tremendicon is one of the shows EVERYONE is coming out for. It’s in our home base of Springfield, MO which means that we are going to have a lot of fun things planned. This also means that everyone has a LOT of jobs that weekend so keep an eye out on the schedule to see if you can catch us at a panel. Whoever doesn’t have “other duties” will be at the table and you can probably find stragglers at Outland or Cullen’s tables.
Planet Comicon
Planet Comicon Kansas City is the largest comic book and pop culture convention not just in the Kansas City area, but within this entire region of the Midwest. Plus, it is one of Cullen’s favorites!
Odd Con
A small Springfield convention for middle schoolers. Cullen will be there to talk to the kids and hand out some fun comics and geeky goods.
