Odd Con at Carver
This week we have our first convention appearance! On Thursday Cullen will be at a mini convention put on for the Springfield, Missouri area kids and will also be representing The Midnight Lantern’s at his table. Don’t worry, dear reader, he will not be alone, as some of the fellow Lanterns will be there throughout the day to help pass out comics and talk to everyone about our cause. What better start to the Midnight Lantern’s inaugural convention season than by working with kids and hopefully bringing a bit of (spooky) light into their day.
Last night a bolt of inspiration struck Cullen and a call to arms was sent out to the fellow Lanterns about the possibility of putting together a quick one sheet of activities for the kids that stop by. It has never been more obvious than now that at least 10% of Cullen’s brain is thinking about how much he loves Zines and who are we to deny him. Ideas were quickly crafted, layouts were hurriedly placed, and our first of many “Bulletins" was created.
If you are like me, and I know a lot of you are, you are going to want to collect all of these Bulletins. But how are you going to get invited to a middle school mini con you ask? Well…you wont…but to ease your concerns we will provide the first of MANY of these worksheets here! Once we get a few of them we will work on getting a repository or tags setup for them, but for now please feel free to save and print the following image. Maybe even print 2: one that stays in mint condition and one that you do the activities on!
Stay tuned for more Odd Con info both here and on our socials and enjoy the second Friday the 13th of the year later this week!
